On Monday 23rd February, Parenting Monaghan along with parents welcomed the Autism Reality Experience to Castleblayney Library.
Parents described the Autism Reality Experience as a unique, powerful, and deeply emotional learning opportunity. Participants reported gaining valuable insight into how children and adults with autism perceive and experience the world, with several reflecting on how the experience helped them better understand the daily challenges their own children face.
The experience highlighted the critical importance of empathy, understanding, and inclusion within our communities, and reinforced the need to make everyday environments more accessible and supportive for individuals with autism.
