Business Planning Workshop 2026

Empowering Monaghan’s Social Enterprises – FREE Business Planning Workshop 2026

Monaghan Integrated Development (MID) is delighted to announce a hands-on Business Planning Workshop designed specifically for the social enterprise sector in County Monaghan.

Under the SICAP, supporting social enterprises is one of our key actions aimed at strengthening the foundations of social enterprises through practical business planning support. Many social enterprises face challenges when applying for funding and improving their trading activities due to the lack of a formal business plan.

What To Expect

This is not a typical lecture-style training. It is a step-by-step facilitated environment where participants will actively build their enterprise’s plan using a simple, accessible template.

The workshop covers four essential modules:

  • Module 1: Defining the Business Idea and Funding Importance.
  • Module 2: Market Research and Marketing plan
  • Module 3: Operations: Legal structures, Staffing requirements, and Social Impact.
  • Module 4: Basic Financials: Costing, Sales Estimation, and a simple Cash Flow Plan.

By the end of the four sessions, every participant will have completed a first draft of a basic business plan and will receive expert feedback from our trainer.
