Funding

Are you an individual, community group, or enterprise looking for funding for your idea or project?
We have several programmes that may be able to help.

LEADER

LEADER is an EU-wide funding programme that aims to provide small rural businesses, communities and individuals with grant funding and guidance to develop projects relating to three themes:

Economic Development and Job Creation
Rural Infrastructure and Social Inclusion
Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment & Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

Projects we’ve helped bring to life with LEADER funding include:

Children’s playpark in Mullan Village
Environmental Education Centre and Biodiversity Hub at Knocknagrave
Renovations and upgrading to the Phoenix Sports & Leisure Centre, Carrickmacross
Equipment for live productions, workshops, and performances for Ceol Connected arts organisation
Walking track and biodiversity project at O’Neill’s GAA Club, Clontibret
Food production equipment for Nutri-Snax Limited
Riparian corridor along the Blackwater river
Heat & controls upgrades to Íontas Arts Centre, Castleblayney
Biodiversity Plans for community groups across Co. Monaghan

Talk to us about your idea and we’ll advise on whether it might be eligible for LEADER funding.

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Progamme (SICAP)

If you’re an individual or a social enterprise looking for support, we can help.

I am an individual struggling with the cost of driving lessons

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) can fund driving lessons for eligible applicants.

I am an individual looking to learn new skills

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) can cover the cost of certain courses or life coaching sessions for eligible applicants.

We are a social enterprise seeking funding

The SICAP Social Enterprise Grant scheme is designed to help local social enterprises grow their traded income and create vital employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups within our community.

Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS)

The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) provides funding to local community and voluntary groups to create, develop and maintain outdoor recreational facilities in rural areas.

This a match-funding scheme, so up to 90% of a project’s costs can be funded by ORIS, while the remaining 10% of the costs must come from other sources.

Monaghan Integrated Development can assist with Project Development Measure, Measure 1, or Measure 2 applications.

Project Development Measure is for development costs of up to €50,000 in the early stages of a strategic large-scale project
Measure 1 is for small scale projects requiring funding of up to €40,000
Measure 2 is for medium scale projects requiring funding of up to €200,000
