Stress Control Classes: Iontas Centre, 22nd & 24th January

Stress Control classes starting in the Iontas Centre on Tuesday 22nd Jan and Thursday 24th January 2019. The classes are free to attend, there is no registration and are open to everyone in the community.
 
 
The consist of 6 weeks of 90mins presentations each Tuesday mornings 10 - 11:30 and Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9pm (breaks included).
 
 
The topics include helping people to understand what stress is, how it affects our bodies, thoughts and actions and how we can learn to manage some of the more distressing symptoms of stress in our lives. The course will also give people very practical tips and advice in how to prevent stress, control anxious and panicky feelings and help boost your sense of wellbeing. It is important to know that people will not have to write anything down or talk in front of anyone at these presentations.
 
The classes use jargon free language with ideas and suggestions that are a simple to understand and put in place. Stress Control is particularly supportive of men, women and younger adults experiencing stress to come in, sit and listen to try and manage and control stress in their busy lives.
 
 
Tea/coffee will be provided and participants will be given free booklets and information to support them on this 6 week course.
