Parenting Monaghan Co-Ordinator
 
The Position:
The Parenting Monaghan Co-ordinator will be responsible for leading out on the work of Parenting Monaghan, as per the Parenting Monaghan Strategy 2022-2025. They would also assist the MID Community Development Team Leader and Parenting Monaghan Steering Group to source sustainable funding to develop this position to a full-time role.

Location: Castleblayney

Reporting to: Community Development Team Leader

Duration: Part time – Fixed Term Contract up to December 2024 (and working towards full-time funded position)

Job Function: Co-ordinate the work of Parenting Monaghan

The Role:
• Arrange Parenting Programmes and Workshops for parents
• Act as the main contact for all parenting support queries within County Monaghan
• Maintain and promote a calendar of parenting support events
• Update Parenting Monaghan website and social media platforms
• Oversee budget spends associated with the project
• Signpost parents to information and services
• Increase visibility of services and raise awareness for parents
• Apply for funding to enable delivery of Parenting Programmes and Workshops
• Arrange meetings of Parenting Monaghan Steering Group
 
The successful person should have:
• Good interpersonal skills, including ability to liaise with a wide range of professionals on an interagency basis and build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Empathetic attitude / approachable.
• Ability to be proactive, use own initiative and work effectively.
• Positive and flexible approach to the work.
• Excellent written communications skills, including ability to draft summary information and correspondence.
• Excellent computer skills, including Word processing, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility in relation to hours of work to meet the needs of the work. Unsocial hours (evening work) will be required from time to time.
• Consent to be Garda Vetted: As our work involves contact with vulnerable people, the successful candidates may be subject to mandatory Garda Vetting.
