Protection and Sustainable Use of Water Resources Under the Rural Environment Theme.


The LEADER Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020 for County Monaghan is open and we are announcing details of a time-limited call for community and enterprise projects that support the protection and sustainable use of water resources. Typical types of projects might include raising general awareness on water conservation issues, the development of local water conservation plans and feasibility studies, training and capacity building on water conservation, water quality research, and feasibility studies looking at possible solutions to protect water resources.  
A budget of €36,000 has been allocated for this call and it is expected that approximately six projects could be funded.  
Interested groups are invited to submit an Expression of Interest form which outlines their project proposal, and the information provided will be used to check if the project is eligible to progress to the full application stage.  Expression of Interest forms and further information on the application process and LEADER programme are available on www.midl.ie.  
This is a time limited call and in order to be considered for full application a fully completed Expression of Interest Form must be submitted to Monaghan LEADER, Monaghan Integrated Development, Monaghan Rd, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan or scanned and emailed to by the 11th May 2018.

Monaghan Local Action Group (LAG) is administering the LEADER RDP 2014-2020 in County Monaghan for the Department of Rural and Community Development and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The County Monaghan Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) is operating as the LAG for the County. Monaghan Integrated Development the Local Development Company for County Monaghan is the implementing partner and Monaghan County Council is the lead financial partner.
