Our Programmes
Monaghan Integrated Development CLG runs various programmes to support local individuals, community groups and businesses. You can read a summary of each below, and click through to each Programme page to learn more.

Community Connection Project
The Community Connection Project works to support new community members and build community resilience against misinformation and prejudice.

Future Fit
Future Fit aims to work with community and voluntary groups and participants to provide tailored supports that help organisations to grow stronger, more inclusive, and more sustainable.

HSE Intercultural Health Project
The HSE Intercultural Health Project supports new community members (including displaced Ukrainians) by identifying and addressing their health needs, guiding them to health services and helping them navigate the Irish health system.

HSE Older Persons Services
Our Health and Wellbeing Coordinator provides support to 15 daycare services across the county on behalf of the HSE. They also oversee the delivery of a Meals On Wheels service in the south County Monaghan area (Carrickmacross and its hinterland).

HSE Traveller Health Project
Our Traveller Community Health Development Worker is working to address health inequalities experienced by members of the Traveller community, carrying out surveys to establish the level of need for a Traveller primary healthcare project in Co Monaghan.

Local Area Employment Services (LAES)
LAES supports jobseekers to get work and stay in work, offering a range of services including advice, personal development plans, a jobs hub and in-employment support.

LEADER Programme
LEADER provides small rural businesses, communities and individuals from across County Monaghan with grant funding and guidance to develop projects under the themes of (1) Economic Development and Job Creation, (2) Rural Infrastructure and Social Inclusion, and (3) Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.

Parenting Monaghan
Parenting Monaghan offers many supports for families of all kinds, including a range of parenting programmes suitable for parents, grandparents, guardians and carers.

PoliRural
PoliRural is a European research project to explore how to make rural places and professions more attractive and sustainable both for established rural communities and for newcomers. Participants provide ideas, opinion and feedback on a voluntary basis.

Retrofit Ready
The Retrofit Ready programme helps eligible organisations to support and guide homeowners seeking grants to retrofit their homes with insulation or renewable energy solutions.

The Rural Social Scheme (RSS)
The RSS provides opportunities for members of the farming community to earn additional income through community-based employment, developing local amenities, facilities, and services.

Rural Recreation
The Rural Recreation Officer manages the Walks Scheme and helps community organisations to develop recreational trails across Co. Monaghan. The RRO also assists with funding applications under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.

Sustainable Energy Community (SEC)
The County Monaghan SEC works to raise awareness amongst local households, businesses and organisations about their contribution towards carbon emissions. It provides information about climate action initiatives such as SEAI Home Energy Grants.

Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP)
SICAP aims to tackle poverty, social exclusion and long-term unemployment through local engagement and partnership between disadvantaged individuals, community organisations and public sector agencies.

Tús
Tús is a community work placement scheme providing unemployed people with short-term working opportunities in community and voluntary organizations.

Monaghan Volunteer Centre
Monaghan Volunteer Centre works with individuals and groups to match people with volunteering opportunities in their area.
